The Barn Cafe

The Barn Café has been running for over 40 years! It's a great place to meet new friends, practise English and have a great time. Each week, we run different activities at the Barn and love learning from internationals about their own countries and interests.

Over the years, The Barn has had students from all over Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, & Europe.

The Barn is open to internationals from any faith background. It is run by volunteers from various churches in Cambridge.

Thursdays 7:30pm

on Zoom!

During Covid-19, we have been meeting online. If you would like to join us please get in touch with us by email here

Here are some other events where you can involved and meet friends.

Hangout on Wednesdays

During C19, we've been meeting up on Jesus Green near the tennis courts or in a local cafe at 6pm to enjoy the chance to see each other face to face. We'd love to see you there!

We follow the government guidelines closely to create a place were we can enjoy each other's company whilst keeping safe. At the moment this means meeting in groups of 6 with social distancing and no mixing.

Wednesdays 6pm

In a local café

Compass Café

Compass Café is a great place to make new friends, practice English and share your culture with others. We have lots of fun - eating good food, playing games, going on trips together and much more. Each week, there is the opportunity to attend a discussion group where we look at a story from the Bible.

Compass is run by Cambridge University students for internationals in Cambridge.

Fridays at 5pm

Unfortunately, during Covid-19 we are unable to run Compass Café, but we look forward to starting again just as soon as we can!
