Exploring Christianity
Friends International staff and volunteers are all Christians. We offer friendship and community to all internationals, no matter what you believe, where you are from or what your faith background may be.
We love talking about our faith with anyone who is interested and want to offer internationals in Cambridge the chance to investigate what Christians believe.
You can do this by joining one of our courses or one of the Bible studies we run, visiting a church or meeting with a Christian. Please contact us if you are interested in any of these.
We would love to connect you with someone who can answer you questions, read the Bible with you or invite you to a church service.
Why Jesus?
We often run courses which provide a safe place for students to explore the Christian faith. Why Jesus? is run by a local church with the support of Friends International.
Why Jesus? is a chance to learn more about Jesus while enjoying dinner together, watching short videos, and discussing your questions in a relaxed setting.
Why Jesus? is hosted in a local Cambridge home, from 7pm to 9.30pm each Tuesday evening, for 8 weeks (Tuesday 5th May to Tuesday 23rd June 2026). It is especially for people from other countries and cultures. Everyone is welcome! We will be using videos in English with English subtitles. We will also provide written translation of the videos into guests' first languages.
If you would like help getting to/from the location in North Cambridge, we can normally arrange to help with lifts.
If there are any foods/drinks that you need to avoid, that is not a problem - please tell us below.If you would need to bring your children with you, please tell us (below) and we will do our best to make provision for them.
